WELCOME

The Northern Star is now in its fourth year in the state of Florida. For those who have not yet read our paper we are devoted to the pari-mutuel industry here in Florida, the United States and all over the world. Our distribution is in all race tracks in Florida and many distribution points surrounding each track. We cover the industry with in-depth human interest articles and photos about the people involved with each sport. Jai Alai, Thoroughbred, Standardbreds and Greyhound racing is covered on a monthly basis as well as slots, poker, simulcasting and other human interest. We include humor, travel, dining, entertainment and editorials and we welcome comments which we try to publish and/or answer.

Here in Broward County the parimutuels have been awarded the right for slots thanks to the voting public. This increases the need to be informed and this paper will try to do so.

The Northern Star is available free at all participating race tracks and frontons and can be obtained by subscription. In the United States the cost for the year is $25.00 Out of the United States the subscription cost is $50.00. This charge takes care of postage and handling. Money orders or checks may be made out to The Northern Star and sent to P.O.Box 4121, Deerfield Beach, Fl. 33442

On the following pages you will find information and photos of each track and also pages from our advertisers. We welcome questions and these can be either e mailed to northernstarnews@yahoo.com or mailed to The Northern Star, P.O. Box 4121 Deerfield Beach, Fl. 33442
